We are a student-led STEM Racing team called ZENITH from Marlborough College Malaysia, based in Johor, Malaysia, preparing to compete in the 2026 regional competition.

STEM Racing (formerly known as F1 in Schools) is a global, multi-disciplinary competition that challenges students aged 9 to 19 to design, build, and race a miniature Formula 1 car. Teams use professional engineering tools to design and analyse their cars before manufacturing and testing them. Each car is then raced down a 20-metre track, powered by a COâ‚‚ canister.
STEM Racing goes far beyond building fast cars. Each team operates like a real Formula 1 organisation, developing a strong brand identity and securing sponsorships to fund their project. Students document their whole journey of engineering and business through portfolios which are than judged in our competitions. The combination of technical innovation and project management is very similar to the realities of professional engineering and business environments.
The aim of STEM Racing is to develop lifelong skills in passionate students and prepare them for future careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). By using real-world engineering software, professional project management methods, and business and marketing strategies, students gain hands-on experience that extends far beyond the classroom. The competition fosters creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership skills that are essential in both higher education and future careers
